Speech Language Pathology

Our Speech-Language Pathologist provide evaluation and direct therapy services to students preschool to grade 12 in the areas of language, articulation, apraxia, fluency, and voice, as well as consultative services when appropriate.

An individualized education plan (IEP) is customized specifically to meet the needs of each particular student. Speech-Language Pathologists work with the child in collaboration with the families and educators to establish communication skills to facilitate success in the educational setting.  They work with students who have a variety of abilities, such as cognitive delays, autism, hearing impairment, etc.

In some instances, the Speech-Language Pathologist may teach a student and their teacher how to use alternative methods of communication, such as sign language, iPad apps, pictures and/or voice output devices.

The Speech-Language Pathologist complete the countywide hearing screenings in our public schools for grades K,1,3,5,9 and 11 in the fall.
